All activities planned, are evidence based, and we carry out independent evaluations to measure the impact of our own interventions.

Consumption patterns and trends are also observed, analyzed and recorded every year. Evaluation and research data are shared among organizations in similar fields, thus providing evidence based information to Program planners in the country.

Evaluation of the Plantation Projects
Apart from the conduction of spot surveys, the Research and Evaluation Division plays an important role in the evaluation of the plantation projects.

The programme works with the other community programmes at the baseline, progress and final stages of the programmes to create and implement a well-designed, evidence-based evaluation. At each stage of the project new data collection procedures are developed assessing the needs of the project as well as submitting reports. In addition to performing evaluations, the programme conducts research projects designed to address social issues concerning alcohol and tobacco.  Results of these studies are disseminated nationally and internationally through journals and presentations.
